Dear my symphatizer,
First of all, I would like to ask you to read the lines you are about to read while imagining that I am saying them to you with complete sincerity, looking you straight in the eyes and holding your hands tightly. Everything we go through, whether good or bad, leaves a deep mark on us, and at times we may find ourselves defining who we are through these experiences. Yet we are such unique beings that our essence does not become “tainted” by what we are exposed to, and despite everything we go through, we continue to shine brightly.
Life is strange; sometimes it brings things we could never have anticipated, sometimes it leaves us feeling helpless, sometimes alone… To be honest, I am writing this letter at a time when I myself feel rather hopeless. If I were to briefly share what I have come to understand from my own experiences, I would say this: everything lies within us, in the strength we carry inside, and there is no remedy for us other than ourselves. This is precisely why being able to set boundaries and to stand behind oneself is so important. The greatest harm we can do to ourselves is to turn our backs on ourselves after everything we have already endured.
If you were to ask, “Do you always manage to do this?” my answer would be no—I can’t always do it; sometimes I simply don’t feel capable of it. And it is exactly at those times that I sink the deepest. In moments like these, knowing that there are duygudaş? who have walked similar paths, who I know have faced struggles like mine, and holding on to the idea that I am not alone, brings a little relief to my heart. With the hope that this platform, and all of us, can be your light in the darkness during such moments.
With love,
D.A.
